The Progressive Care Renal Unit at Corewell Health is a 28-bed medical-surgical unit with a focus on renal care. Our team provides comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic renal failure, requiring hemodialysis and Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis. Scope of Work

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role utilizes the nursing process to provide professional care, incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The RN works under the direction of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and procedures, and recognizes the impact of nursing care on patient outcomes. The RN partners with patients and families to develop care plans, educates patients and families, and documents education and learning in the health record.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 5 years.
  • Graduates from non-accredited nursing schools must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed healthcare role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
  • Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
  • Specialty certification highly recommended within 2 years.
