About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an Administrator at Heartland Hospice. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our hospice locations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the coordination of patient admissions and ancillary services to ensure a smooth and systematic process.
  • Direct, supervise, and evaluate hospice personnel and volunteers to ensure excellent patient care and services.
  • Coordinate services among team members and ensure ongoing communication with leadership.
  • Promote and monitor compliance with regulatory agencies, state and federal laws, and industry standards.
  • Manage human resources effectively, including selection, supervision, and evaluation of interdisciplinary team members.
  • Plan and organize tasks and resources to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services.
  • Monitor and supervise the quality of patient care and services.
  • Work with physicians, patients, families, staff, and others to address problems, needs, and concerns.
  • Responsible for supervision and evaluation of family satisfaction surveys.
  • Manage financial resources prudently and effectively, including preparing and reviewing monthly bills, supply costs, expense requests, mileage reimbursement, payroll, and other expenses.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
  • Master's degree in business, nursing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum one year management/supervisory experience required.
  • Two or more years' experience in hospice/home care required.
  • Three years' experience in direct patient care in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Three to five years healthcare sales/management experience preferred.
  • Current license to practice nursing in the state of requested employment, if applicable.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Current automobile insurance and valid driver's license.
