Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Byron Wellness Community. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and leading our nursing team.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct nursing care to our residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. You will be responsible for ensuring that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures established by our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern long-term care facilities.
  • Ensure that all nursing service personnel are in compliance with their respective job descriptions.
  • Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the facility's quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
  • Interpret the department's policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors, and government agencies as required.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
  • Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
  • Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess a minimum of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN/LPN program. You must also have an active license. Previous experience working with long-term care residents is preferred.
