We are currently seeking applications for Certified Nursing Aides to work 12-hour night shifts (7 pm-7 am) providing essential care and support to our residents in a senior living environment. Candidates interested in obtaining their Level One Medication Aide certification will receive training if qualified.

Position Overview

The Wellness Associate will report to the Wellness Director and the Wellness Manager, delivering care and services tailored to each Resident's individual Service Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility as needed.
  • Monitor each Resident's physical and mental health, promptly reporting any changes to the Wellness Director.
  • Maintain an inventory of medical supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
  • Help coordinate shift coverage in case of unexpected absences.
  • Support the Wellness Director in developing and maintaining assignments.
  • Assist in training and onboarding new Wellness Associates.
  • Respond to Resident emergencies, providing first aid and arranging for medical follow-up as needed.
  • Help Residents maintain clean and orderly living spaces.
  • Promptly attend to Resident requests for assistance.
  • Assist with meal selection, service, and feeding as assigned.
  • Participate in assigned activity programs.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with policy.
  • Participate in a minimum of 6 hours of in-service education annually.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Adhere to all emergency procedures.
  • Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the Wellness Director and other staff members.
  • Immediately inform the Wellness Director and/or Wellness Manager of any changes in a Resident's health status.
Qualifications:
  • Current State Nurse's Aide registration.
  • Experience and a genuine passion for working with seniors.
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing, bending, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
  • Capable of maintaining positive relationships with Residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
  • In good physical and emotional health, free from communicable diseases.
Physical Requirements:
  • Physically able to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 60 pounds as needed.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods.
  • May be required to use a Hoyer Lift.
Additional Information:
  • May be required to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
  • May be required to work on shifts other than the one for which hired.
  • May be required to work extended hours (up to 16 hours per day).
  • Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions.
  • May be subject to background checks and drug testing.
