Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to join our team. As a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher, you will be responsible for providing instruction and support to students with hearing impairments in a school setting. You will work closely with students, teachers, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a strong background in special education, with experience working with students with hearing impairments. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments
  • Providing instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and small group settings
  • Collaborating with teachers and support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive education for students with hearing impairments
  • Communicating with parents and guardians to ensure that students receive the support they need

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher credential/license
  • 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher within the last 3 years
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
