About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Front Office Manager to join our team at the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising front office personnel, coordinating activities, and preparing reports to ensure a seamless guest experience.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising all front office personnel and ensuring completion of front office duties efficiently.
  • Coordinating front desk, night audit, and transportation activities effectively.
  • Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports and budgets for the front office department.
  • Maintaining relationships with all departments and ensuring accurate room status information is communicated.
  • Addressing guest requests, complaints, and accidents courteously and promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular meetings with front office personnel and enforcing cash-handling policies.
  • Upholding hospitality standards, responding to customer evaluations, and maximizing room revenue occupancy.
  • Analyzing rate variances, monitoring credit reports, and overseeing daily house count status effectively.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a hotel front desk supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong skills in writing routine reports, correspondence, and documenting dates and times.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey information and ideas clearly.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 DOE and a range of benefits, including free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, and a refrigerator in each room. Suites boast a kitchenette and offer garden, ocean, or harbor views of Hilo Bay, Hamakua Coast, or Hilo Harbor.
