We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Main Operating Room at Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise. This is a part-time PRN position working day shift hours.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare surgical procedures for physicians and surgical staff under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Comply with safety policies, recognize and correct breaks in aseptic technique, and perform equipment checks for proper functionality.
- Review and update surgeon preference cards, gown and glove yourself and other members of the team, and independently manage instrument, sponge, and sharp counts for all procedures.
- One year of scrub experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the NBSTSA or as a Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) by the NCCT.
- An active LPN license is accepted in lieu of CST/TS-C certifications.
- Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification from either AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network.
