Job Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Main Operating Room at Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise. As a CST, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Manage instrument, sponge, and sharp counts to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to ensure seamless procedure execution.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment.
Requirements:
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) certification by the NBSTSA or NCCT.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a sterile environment.
