Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, the HVAC Controls Technician Intern will assist in the design and programming of hardware and software for HVAC control systems to fulfill project specifications.

Internship Activities

Our Controls Technician Interns are involved in programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of HVAC control systems, including mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage components. They will load software onto system-level controllers, conduct commissioning, and perform diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators), while effectively communicating with clients.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

· High school diploma and current enrollment in a community college

· Familiarity with HVAC systems, their sequences, and applications

· Proven technical skills in mechanical and electro-mechanical disciplines

· Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing equipment such as multimeters

· Strong attention to detail

· Excellent communication and listening abilities
