About the Role

The Maintenance Technician is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the overall physical condition of our communities and providing exceptional service to our residents. This role involves diagnosing maintenance issues, making necessary repairs, and ensuring timely completion of resident service requests and community maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance and upkeep of property, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities, and lighting systems
  • Inspect and repair equipment, and control inventory of parts and equipment
  • Direct mechanics, technicians, and outside contractors on assigned projects
  • Ensure successful execution of company safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Deliver exceptional resident satisfaction through responsive, consistent, positive, and professional interactions
  • Work a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 maintenance coverage
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4-6 years of maintenance experience
  • Advanced knowledge in at least one of the following disciplines: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry
  • Solid trouble-shooting skills and ability to diagnose problems and recommend repairs
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and good time management skills
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with customers
  • Certifications relevant to the region, such as EPA 608, Boiler Certification, plumbing, electrical, or appliance repair, obtained within 9 months of employment
