Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to operate, monitor, control, and troubleshoot batch and continuous chemical processes. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the CPO group and other departments to achieve business goals, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain large-scale reactors and other equipment used to produce life science research products.
  • Collect samples of chemical solutions prepared and perform in-line product testing to resolve simple chemical issues.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of required policies, procedures, quality standards, good manufacturing practices, and safety environmental regulations.
  • Perform equipment cleaning and batch preparation, including communication with maintenance.
  • Communicate inventory, planning, and quality issues to supervisor or appropriate department partner.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree with a chemical/biological background is highly desired.
  • The ability to speak, read and write professionally, in English, is required.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and be detail oriented.
  • Chemical/biological production experience preferred, especially in a regulated environment.
  • Intermediate-level math and analytical skills with the ability to convert units of measure and calculate ratios are required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools - Excel and Word are needed. Experience working with ERP systems, SAP is a plus.
  • Experience working in compliance with hazardous material regulations and wastewater handling is helpful. Knowledge of handling reactors is a plus.
