Hennepin Healthcare is a nationally recognized Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, operating as an integrated care system that includes a 473-bed academic medical center, Clinic & Specialty Center, and extensive array of primary and specialty care clinics. Our Psychiatry Department offers a broad range of mental health services, including inpatient and outpatient treatment options, emergency services, and referral.

As a Department Chair, you will assume responsibility for the strategic recruitment, retention, and development of Medical Staff members essential for fulfilling our organizational mission. You will champion our academic endeavors, ensure quality of care delivered, manage departmental finances, and provide ongoing mentorship and sponsorship to members of your medical staff team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a talented team of clinicians who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. The estimated annual salary for this position is $300,000, based on national averages and location. In addition to a competitive compensation package, we offer a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

The ideal candidate will possess a Doctorate Degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) and be board certified in an ABMS recognized specialty. A minimum of 5 years administrative leadership experience at the institution, department, or section level is required. The ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including medical staff, patients, and families, is essential.
