Job Summary:

As a Psychiatric Technician I on our Adult Unit, you will play a vital role in maintaining a therapeutic environment and assisting patients with daily living activities. You will establish a strong therapeutic relationship with assigned patients, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Takes vital signs, weighs patients, and collects routine specimens to ensure accurate patient data.
  • Attends and participates in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices and patient care.
  • Provides emotional support and guidance to patients, helping them navigate their mental health journey.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 60 hours of human services, psychology, education, sociology, or related field.
  • 1 year of experience in a mental health or human services setting.
  • CPR certification.
