About the Role

We're seeking an exceptional Electrical Operations Manager to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction in our transformer service and refurbishment facility. This key leadership position focuses on deploying operational frameworks, optimizing productivity, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and employee relations.

The successful candidate will oversee supervisors, leads, technicians, equipment, and materials to meet both daily production and long-term business goals. This is a highly visible position, offering the opportunity to shape the future success and growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and Motivate Hourly Workers: Prioritize safety, actively participate in safety audits, incident reports, training sessions, and adhere to JHAs, LOTOs, housekeeping, and inspection protocols.
  2. Foster a Culture of Teamwork: Promote servant leadership, encourage input from the skilled workforce, and build a cohesive "One Team" culture.
  3. Communicate Effectively: Maintain focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement in processes, skills, and team performance to set the organization apart from competitors.
  4. Plan and Coordinate Labor Requirements: Manage incoming tear downs, inspections, production repair jobs, and field service work.
  5. Manage Daily Labor Planning: Oversee workforce allocation to support the production schedule, including rush jobs and vacation scheduling, while controlling labor costs.
  6. Cross-Train Key Employees: Collaborate with management to train employees in key areas, overseeing labor, consumable supplies, and cost management.
  7. Develop Project-Specific Work Plans: Implement project-specific work plans and customer reporting requirements to ensure efficient project execution.
  8. Coordinate Customer Job Inspections: Ensure work meets safety, schedule, and specification requirements, while assisting with service center certification audits.
  9. Meet Customer Requirements: Ensure customer requirements such as inspections, data collection, and material delivery are met promptly and efficiently.
  10. Improve Quality Program: Lead the ongoing development of the Quality Program by improving documentation, work instructions, and process standards while focusing on jobs with higher complexity or risk.

About You
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering: Preferred, but not required.
  • 5+ Years of Production Management Experience: Equivalent experience accepted.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Repair Experience: Required, preferably in transformers or related equipment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: And production MRP systems.
  • Continuous Improvement Cultures: Familiarity with Lean, 6S, Safety, High Engagement Work Systems preferred.
