Position Summary

The Culinary Support Specialist is tasked with various responsibilities, including monitoring and documenting food temperatures, maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking food supplies, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and processing payments for food and beverages using a computerized register.

This role adheres to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food service, providing excellent customer service and effective communication with patrons and colleagues. The ability to build strong working relationships is essential.

Maintains quality control standards.

May operate equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, computerized cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators, and freezers.

Ideally, candidates will have experience in the food service industry.

Must be able to work independently when necessary and possess an understanding of food safety and sanitation processes. The role requires the ability to be on your feet for extended periods and walk significant distances.

Qualifications
Minimum age of 16 years. Previous experience in customer service, retail cash handling, and knowledge of food service is preferred. Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions. Basic math skills are required. On-the-job training will be provided.

Depending on the location of hire, Serv Safe certification may be required within a specified timeframe. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may also be necessary based on location requirements.
