Position Title: BEVERAGE SERVICE SPECIALIST
Reports To: Bar Manager

Position Summary:
Deliver prompt, precise, and welcoming service while crafting top-notch beverages for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive beverage requests from customers and staff.
  • Craft and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with the establishment's standard recipes.
  • Become familiar with and personally acknowledge our regular clientele.
  • Accurately log drink orders immediately upon receipt into the point-of-sale system.
  • Process customer payments, handle credit card transactions, and provide change when necessary.
  • Clean and sanitize glassware.
  • Prepare drink garnishes and restock snacks and appetizers for bar guests.
  • Organize bottles and glassware in an appealing and functional manner to facilitate efficient drink preparation and promote beverage offerings.
  • Clear and reset tables in the bar area.
  • Present beverage menus, offer recommendations, and respond to inquiries regarding drinks.
  • Ensure cleanliness in all bar areas, including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage spaces.
  • Serve food orders to patrons seated at the bar.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs to the bar manager.
  • Assist in the restocking and replenishment of bar supplies and inventory.
  • Be prepared to assist in various roles to ensure the seamless operation of the establishment as directed by the bar manager or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of our guests.
  • Familiarity with beer, wine, liquor, and standard drink recipes.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash and operating a cash register.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods (up to 5 hours).
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Possession of ServeSafe or Food Handlers certification (or willingness to obtain), along with a workplace sexual harassment certificate.
