General Surgeon Opportunity at UNC Health Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Surgeon to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a General Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical services to patients, including abdominal, breast, gastrointestinal, and minimally invasive surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional medical services to patients, including surgical procedures and consultations.
  • Exercise independent professional judgment in the care and treatment of patients.
  • Order and prescribe medical treatment, diagnostic testing, and other health and medical services.
  • Consult and counsel with patients and families, providing health and medical education.
  • Refer patients to appropriate medical specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Document medical and clinical care in patient records and assign diagnostic and procedural codes for billing.
  • Supervise other medical professionals and adhere to principles of medical ethics.

Requirements:

  • Unrestricted MD/DO license in NC or eligible.
  • Board Certification/Eligibility in General Surgery.
  • Current ACLS and DEA certification.
