General Surgeon Opportunity at UNC Health Care

UNC Health Care is seeking a highly skilled General Surgeon to join our team at UNC Health Johnston. As a General Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing professional medical services to patients, including abdominal surgery, breast surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and robotic surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides medical services to patients, including surgery and post-operative care
  • Orders and prescribes medical treatment, diagnostic testing, and other health and medical services
  • Consults and counsels with patients and families, providing health and medical education
  • Refers patients to medical specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Documents medical and clinical care in patient records
  • Supervises other medical professionals
Requirements:
  • Unrestricted MD/DO license in NC or eligible
  • ACLS certification
  • DEA certification
  • BC/BE by the American Board of Surgery
