Job Overview:

As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential respiratory therapy and life support to patients experiencing various cardiopulmonary challenges. This role is under the guidance of the Director of Respiratory Services, the Manager of Respiratory Care, and the Medical Director of Respiratory Care.

Your expertise will be utilized in caring for a diverse patient population, ranging from neonates to geriatric individuals, who may present with complex, multi-system health issues, all within a safe and therapeutic environment.

Qualifications:

Education: Must possess an Associate's degree from an accredited institution recognized by the American Medical Association for Respiratory Care.

Certifications: Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association or an equivalent credential is mandatory. Registration through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is also required.

Licensure: A valid New Hampshire State Respiratory Care license is essential.

Experience:

A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients, adapting to evolving clinical conditions.
  2. Administer prescribed medications to patients.
  3. Document the care provided and track patient progress towards achieving desired health outcomes.
  4. Engage in departmental and hospital initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  5. Perform necessary intubations as required.
  6. Effectively manage time and workload variations.
  7. Serve as a mentor to new staff and students.
  8. Utilize hospital and departmental information systems and equipment proficiently.
  9. Complete all departmental and hospital obligations.
  10. Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Position Details:

Urgency Level: Normal

Shifts: Rotating shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend.

Minimum Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week.
