Summary/Objective:
The Transport Specialist is responsible for delivering finished chassis to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Adherence to all safety regulations and policies set forth by the company;

Conducting final inspections of finished chassis and addressing minor defects;

Preparing finished chassis for transport using appropriate stabilization and safety protocols;

Delivering finished chassis to clients while following designated delivery routes and areas;

Unloading finished chassis at the designated location using approved methods;

Coordinating necessary documentation at departure, delivery, and return;

Receiving and delivering miscellaneous goods as required or assigned;

Participating in production team activities as needed;

Assisting with repair tasks as necessary;

Maintaining cleanliness and organization at all times.

Competencies:
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve company objectives;

Demonstrated clear verbal and written communication skills (English);

Ability to read and interpret written communications including work orders and measurements;

Capability to meet production targets and deadlines for company projects;

Ability to work with minimal supervision;

Demonstrated proficiency in transportation and over-the-road responsibilities;

Knowledge of welding processes and systems;

Flexibility to rotate to other production roles as required;

Ability to operate a Lift Truck or Tractor as needed;

Strong problem-solving skills;

Ability to maintain professionalism and positive relationships with supervisors, colleagues, and clients;

Capacity to work under physically and mentally demanding conditions;

Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changes throughout the day.

Qualifications:
Lift Truck Operators License preferred (training available).

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not entail any supervisory responsibilities upon hiring.

Physical Demands:


The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly. This role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling. The employee may need to lift and/or move items exceeding 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This position requires Personal Protective Equipment.

Protective Equipment provided by the company includes:
Coating suit, Coating Boots, Spray Socks, Respirator, Work Gloves, Safety Glasses, and Ear Plugs. Employees may be required to provide additional Protective Equipment (Safety Shoes, etc.).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position.
