Key Responsibilities- Scheduling and Maintenance: Schedule and coordinate vehicle preventative maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments, including the management of third-party fleet management software.
- Fleet Management: Oversee the administration of vehicle titles, registration, and insurance, as well as the management of fleet operating expenses and shop consumables.
- Cost Control: Analyze fleet operating expenses and shop consumables to identify areas for cost reduction and implement strategies to drive down costs.
- Training and Coaching: Provide direct driver safety training and coaching, as well as guide employees on pre-shift and post-shift truck inspections.
- Policy and Procedure Management: Develop and implement fleet maintenance policies and procedures, ensuring 100% compliance with corporate policies and SOPs.
- Vendor Management: Manage and negotiate with local maintenance facilities, third-party vendors, and metal recyclers to minimize operating expenses.
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in a similar capacity, with a strong background in commercial truck maintenance and repair.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to commercial vehicles, as well as a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair implications.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize based on business needs.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient with Google Suite and fleet management software.
- Competitive Salary: $60K-$70K/year, based on experience.
