The Opportunity:


As a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician at MH Civil Constructors Inc, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the optimal performance of heavy machinery utilized in construction operations. This includes a variety of equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, loaders, and cranes.

Your role will involve diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to guarantee the safe and efficient functionality of the equipment.

Additionally, you will conduct routine maintenance and inspections aimed at preventing malfunctions and prolonging the operational life of the machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of heavy construction equipment.

2. Repair or replace defective or worn components using hand and power tools.

3. Test and adjust machinery parts to ensure they operate correctly and meet manufacturer specifications.


4. Carry out regular maintenance tasks, including oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements, to avoid equipment failures and enhance longevity.

5. Perform inspections to detect potential issues and provide recommendations for repairs or replacements.

6. Maintain detailed records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities conducted on each piece of equipment.

7. Operate machinery as necessary to diagnose and assess performance problems.

8. Mentor and train new mechanics on best practices and proper maintenance procedures.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical training or certification is preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy construction machinery.

- Proficient mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills.

- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.

- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Capacity to work independently with minimal oversight.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Flexibility to work varied hours and occasional overtime.

- Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and machinery.

- Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions and environments.

- Capability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.

- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as required.
