Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings, meeting rooms, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to building equipment, machinery, and fixtures.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance duties to ensure the satisfactory operation of facilities and grounds.
  • Operate and maintain building equipment and machinery, including snow removal and landscaping.
  • Monitor equipment performance and provide recommendations to management.
  • Ensure supplies and materials are available and equipment is in working order.
  • Handle recyclable items, including paper, plastic, cans, metal, and fluorescent bulbs.
  • Collect and report information to identify and diagnose building needs.
  • Perform minor miscellaneous lawn and garden duties, including maintaining landscaping throughout the property.
  • Assist with pick-ups and deliveries, and process incoming/outgoing mail and packages.
  • Maintain copy room supplies and copiers.
  • Perform basic maintenance duties and coordinate the completion of tasks to ensure assigned goals are attained.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in a business environment, applying general customer service and business skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record in accordance with the District's acceptable guidelines.
  • Good verbal and written communication, customer service, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and team building skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative, and time management, including prioritizing workloads based on time constraints.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to move paper, boxes, etc.
