About the Role

Abbott Laboratories is a global leader in healthcare, and we're seeking a highly skilled Metrology Engineer to join our Structural Heart Product Development Team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in developing, implementing, and maintaining measurement equipment across our Structural Heart franchise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement measurement systems for metal frames, tissue, and catheters
  • Stay current with industry trends and measurement technology
  • Perform statistical analysis and gage studies to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Provide technical support and training to engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Perform calibration and maintenance of equipment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in engineering with metrology focus
  • Familiarity with software development for measurement
  • Working knowledge of calibration techniques and statistical analysis methods
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six Sigma certified
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma
  • Medical device experience
