Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team. As a Mobile Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for traveling to Skilled Nursing Facilities and Private Residential homes to collect blood samples and other specimens from patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collection and Transportation of Specimens: Collect blood and other specimens from patients in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Client Interaction: Treat all clients with courtesy and respect, ensuring a positive experience for patients and their families.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of collections, including patient information, specimen characteristics, and any notable issues or concerns.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, clients, and colleagues to ensure seamless communication and efficient specimen collection.
  • Adherence to Policy and Procedure: Familiarize yourself with and adhere to Mako Medical's policies, procedures, and protocols, including those related to patient confidentiality, specimen handling, and infection control.
Requirements
  • Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent required; phlebotomy certification or training preferred.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience in phlebotomy or a related field; experience working with geriatric or homebound populations a plus.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
