Covenant Physician Partners is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our ophthalmologists.

Responsibilities

  • Assist ophthalmologists with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
  • Conduct vision tests and perform diagnostic tests as needed
  • Prepare patients for procedures and maintain a clean and organized examination room
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate effectively with patients, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • Bilingual English/Spanish required
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • One (1) or more years of experience in a customer service setting, which could include a work study program, externship programs, and similar work history
  • Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain BLS certification prior to start
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computers, multi-line phones, and other office equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ophthalmology experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Experience with EMR
