Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant - LPN/RN to join our team at Christus Health. As a Medical Assistant - LPN/RN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care and administrative tasks.
  • Conduct patient interviews and take vital signs, as well as document patient information in the medical record.
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, and assist with lab tests and other medical procedures.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families, and help them navigate the healthcare system.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) preferred.
