Responsibilities and Requirements

The Peer Support Specialist will perform various duties and responsibilities, including:

  • Offering guidance and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorder, psychological trauma, or mental health disorders.
  • Engaging individuals in a recovery partnership and assisting in identifying their hopes and dreams.
  • Teaching recovery and life skills using recovery tools.
  • Serving as an advocate, providing information and peer support for clients.
  • Sharing relevant personal experiences related to the 'Recovery Process' for the benefit of individuals in recovery.

In addition, you will create a supportive environment for individuals' recovery, assist in developing natural supports and securing a network of community support, and cultivate connectedness in the person's life.

$44,000 - $55,000 per year

Estimated Salary: $49,500 per year
