Role Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be integral to a team of PET technologists and healthcare professionals, focusing on advanced cardiac imaging in both clinical and research settings. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing technical operations within the PET laboratory, ensuring quality control and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Performing a comprehensive range of PET scan procedures, generating reliable patient image data using advanced technology.
- Implementing new imaging techniques to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Providing training and support to clinical and technical staff, serving as a resource for fellow technologists.
- Developing specifications for diagnostic equipment and contributing to the enhancement of clinical procedures and protocols.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT(N)
- Preferred certification in Positron Emission Tomography (PET)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- An Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- A minimum of three years of experience in a nuclear cardiology laboratory
Physical Requirements:
Candidates should be capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently to move objects.
