Job Overview

Mental Health Association, Inc. is seeking a skilled Bilingual Recovery Coach to support individuals in need of substance use services. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the Agency's team to establish open communication, support, and accountability among coworkers.

The Recovery Coach will provide a unique perspective and related skills to the integrated treatment team, including confidence and experience in the recovery process. S/he will communicate this perspective to individuals to better advocate for them in the formulation of individualized action plans and the development of programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals in need of substance use services to live independently in the community
  • Work collaboratively with the Agency's team to establish open communication, support, and accountability among coworkers
  • Provide a unique perspective and related skills to the integrated treatment team
  • Communicate with individuals to better advocate for them in the formulation of individualized action plans and the development of programs and services

Requirements:

  • Lived experience with psychiatric diagnosis, extreme states, substance use, and/or trauma
  • Prior experience in advocacy or peer support role preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Certified Recovery Coach preferred
