Job Title: Aerospace Avionics Systems Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Testbed Engineer to join our team at Intuitive Machines LLC. As an integral part of our mission to make cislunar space accessible, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and operating testbeds for avionics systems.

Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the setup, operation, and maintenance of various avionics testbeds, supporting critical testing for space-bound systems. You will also develop, optimize, and troubleshoot test scripts in LabVIEW, focusing on automation, data acquisition, and real-time data analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the setup, operation, and maintenance of avionics testbeds to support critical testing for space-bound systems.
  2. Develop and optimize test scripts in LabVIEW to automate testing, acquire data, and analyze results in real-time.
  3. Apply knowledge of test systems' hardware and software to develop a strong understanding of test objectives and system relationships.
  4. Execute comprehensive test procedures to validate avionics systems and components under simulated operational conditions.
  5. Analyze test results and provide insights to improve performance and reliability.
  6. Collaborate with avionics engineers and other team members to refine testing processes and ensure accuracy and consistency in data collection.
  7. Maintain thorough documentation of test procedures, results, and issues encountered, as well as resolutions.
  8. Ensure the testing environment complies with all safety protocols and quality standards, maintaining an organized and efficient lab setup.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in avionics testing or a related field, with specific expertise in LabVIEW.
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW, with the ability to develop and modify complex scripts for automated testing.
  • Strong understanding of avionics systems, testbeds, and relevant instrumentation for space and aerospace applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in testbed systems and software.

Salary Range:$120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
