Job Description:

The Avionics Testbed Systems Specialist will play a key role in managing complex test environments, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the successful execution of testing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the setup, operation, and maintenance of various avionics testbeds, supporting critical testing for space-bound systems.
  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot test scripts in LabVIEW, focusing on automation, data acquisition, and real-time data analysis.
  • Apply test systems' hardware/software experience to develop a strong knowledge of what the test is accomplishing, and how it relates to the spacecraft vehicle systems.
  • Execute comprehensive test procedures to validate avionics systems and components under simulated operational conditions.
  • Analyze test results and report findings to the engineering and design teams, providing insights to improve performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with avions engineers and other team members to refine testing processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data collection.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of test procedures, results, and any issues encountered, as well as resolutions.
  • Ensure the testing environment complies with all safety protocols and quality standards, maintaining an organized and efficient lab setup.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in avionics testing or a related field, with specific expertise in LabVIEW.

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
