About the Role:

Banesco USA is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Portfolio Manager to join our Portfolio Managers business unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring existing lending relationships, completing annual reviews, and ensuring compliance with all terms of the loan agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor existing lending relationships assigned to your portfolio and complete annual, semi-annual, or quarterly reviews as required in a timely manner.
  • Credit Analysis: Evaluate pertinent information to determine risk rating and whether a prospect and/or existing credit is an acceptable risk.
  • Collateral Monitoring: Maintain oversight of all ongoing monitoring requirements and client deliverables, including financial reporting, covenant compliance, collateral monitoring, and borrowing base analysis.
  • Relationship Management: Partner with Relationship Managers in structuring and underwriting new relationships, as well as renewals, extensions, waivers, and/or modifications of existing loans.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare all required financial spreads, Executive Summaries, and upload all packages for credit underwriting and approval.
  • Industry Trends: Monitor industry trends and analyze specific industry trend areas to identify potential areas of risk in the loan portfolio.
  • Training and Development: Complete annual training programs assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required for consideration or the equivalent in experience.
  • Experience: Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience as a Credit Underwriter or Portfolio Manager.
  • Skills: Advanced knowledge of overall Bank policies, credit policy, and compliance regulations; strong customer service skills; self-starter and independent worker; strong attention to detail and accuracy; problem-solving and analytical skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management, and prioritizing skills.
  • Language: Bilingual in both English and Spanish, with the ability to fluently speak, understand, read, and write both languages.
