We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team at Trinity Consultants Engineering & EHS Workforce Solutions. As a key member of our Research & Animal Safety group, you will be responsible for building partnerships with R&D teams, championing a culture of safety, and conducting risk assessments to ensure a safe workplace.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) partnerships within R&D, serving as the primary SHE contact for designated therapeutic areas.
- Champion a culture of safety within R&D groups based on HOP principles, promoting a proactive approach to safety.
- Conduct, document, and manage risk assessments, new instrument purchases, and SHE Event investigations to ensure a safe workplace.
- Lead lab walk-throughs with participation from SHE partners, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
- Assist with designed safety meetings, documentation, reviews, and site SHE communications on various platforms.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific or EHS-related field.
- 1-5 years of experience in lab/animal/biological/chemical safety, bench research, or biopharma R&D/manufacturing.
- Strong computer/technology skills, with experience in risk assessment and accident investigations a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with R&D teams and stakeholders.
