Key Responsibilities- Interpret and dispense medications according to physician orders, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Provide education and training to healthcare professionals, patients, and the public on medication therapy and procedures.
- Retrieve, analyze, and evaluate scientific literature to provide accurate and timely drug information responses.
- Design, implement, and monitor patient pharmacotherapy to ensure effective, safe, and economical patient care.
- Participate in the performance improvement process and contribute to the development of goals, objectives, and policies of the pharmacy department.
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
- Licensure by the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy by examination or reciprocity.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet software, and pharmacy information systems.
