Position Overview

The Software Licensing Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting Software Asset Management (SAM) processes for a government client. This position entails the execution of policies, procedures, and actions that identify, monitor, and manage software licenses to facilitate the agency's Software Asset Management initiatives across the organization.

This role is hybrid, requiring onsite presence on designated days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Team Lead to ensure timely prioritization of project deliverables.
  • Provide both technical and administrative support to ensure that the assets, products, and services acquired and deployed meet service level agreements, contract specifications, and quality expectations.
  • Deliver support services that include user assistance, software installations, procurement assistance, renewals, removals, entitlement tracking, network scan reconciliation, and documentation for procurement packages.
  • Oversee the software asset inventory and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the review, processing, and tracking of all software licensing and maintenance requests from submission to fulfillment.
  • Gather and maintain precise Software Licensing information in repositories to support budgeting, software compliance, inventory management, contracts, and audit inquiries.
  • Analyze software data to inform critical business decisions.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with notice periods for changes and cancellations.
  • Respond to inquiries from Software Owners, end users, managers, developers, and team members regarding specific IT Software Asset Management information.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or Engineering; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficient quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret substantial amounts of information.
  • Strong skills in Excel and PDF applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Required Clearance:

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Eligibility to obtain a secret clearance; active Secret clearance is preferred.
  • Must secure an interim secret clearance prior to commencing work.

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. This estimate reflects the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: Compliance with customer site vaccination requirements is mandatory when work is performed at a customer location.
