Key Responsibilities:

The Revenue Accounting Manager will:

  • Lead both domestic and international teams, fostering collaboration with global accounting departments.
  • Oversee the month-end closing procedures related to revenue and commission accounting, along with associated costs.
  • Supervise the Revenue accounting and broker payroll teams, working closely with functional partners throughout the organization.
  • Manage the closing tool, ensuring accountability among various accounting teams for their closing timelines.
  • Review and propose journal entries as necessary, including the examination of account reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, subledger reconciliations, and judgement-based reconciliations.
  • Guarantee the consistent application of revenue and expense recognition across all entities in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee internal collection efforts and collaborate with external collection agencies when required.
  • Supervise the cash application team and assist in resolving unapplied cash issues.
  • Manage the accounting for funds held in trust or escrow accounts, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee treasury functions, emphasizing cash management, forecasting, and monitoring debt covenants.
  • Review the monthly consolidated income statement and balance sheet analytics.
  • Work in conjunction with the Financial Planning & Analysis team on budgeting, month-end closing processes, and related analytics and reporting.
  • Collaborate with business partners that impact revenue to ensure transaction accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 6 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • A blend of Big 4 experience and private sector exposure.
  • Previous experience in designing, implementing, and documenting policies and procedures within a SOX environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Commercial Real Estate.
  • Experience in a public company setting.
  • Experience in large multinational corporations across various geographical regions.
