InvestCloud is seeking a skilled Senior Revenue Accountant to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition and reporting.

This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of revenue recognition processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze customer contracts for revenue details
  • Generate month and quarter-end revenue accruals
  • Assist in internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations
  • Ensure all revenue accounting activities comply with established standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
  • Provide actionable insights to management
  • Create and maintain month-end reconciliations for deferred revenue, contract assets, and other revenue-related accounts
  • Manage remaining performance obligation schedules
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes
  • Work closely with finance and other departments to gather necessary information and ensure accurate revenue reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field
  • At least 3-4 years of accounting experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in revenue accounting or related field
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles
  • Analytical attitude and ability to resolve accounting problems with multiple variables
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to assist with projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to relate and clearly communicate with accounting team and other departments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred; NetSuite is a plus
  • CPA or pursuing CPA certification is a plus
  • Public accounting experience is a plus
