Become a vital member of the Mizuho team as an Infrastructure Solutions Architect.

Position Overview:

Mizuho Americas Services is on the lookout for a highly proficient and seasoned Infrastructure Solutions Architect to enhance our team. In this capacity, you will work in close collaboration with diverse infrastructure service teams, including the Cloud Team, Automation Team, OS Engineering Teams, Networking Team, and Operations Team. Furthermore, you will cultivate and sustain a robust partnership with our Corporate Real Estate teams to synchronize infrastructure architecture strategies with facility planning and management initiatives.

Role Objective: The Infrastructure Solutions Architect is instrumental in defining the infrastructure that underpins the organization's technological framework. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring that the infrastructure is not only effective and dependable but also capable of evolving with shifting business needs and technological progress.

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship Management and Communication:

  • Facilitate meetings and discussions, as necessary, between Infrastructure IT and Front Office IT teams to uphold transparent communication.
  • Address concerns, issues, and opportunities presented by teams and act as a mediator to promote effective collaboration.

Project Coordination and Prioritization:

  • Engage with stakeholders to assess projects and deliver weekly summaries of initiatives led by each vertical.
  • Ensure alignment among teams regarding project goals, milestones, and deliverables.

Process Enhancement Initiatives:

  • Identify avenues for process enhancement concerning ticket/incident management.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement modifications that boost efficiency and effectiveness.

Technology Upgrades and Deployment Support:

  • Serve as a liaison between Infrastructure IT and Front Office IT during technology upgrades, migrations, and deployments.

Reporting and Metrics Monitoring:

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators and metrics associated with integration efforts.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding progress, challenges, and outcomes.
  • Develop a matrix of routine services with expected service level agreements for each.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Interact with senior management and other stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and ensure alignment of integration efforts with broader organizational objectives.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Cloud Team, Automation Team, OS Engineering Teams, Networking Team, Operations Team, and Corporate Real Estate teams, to define and implement infrastructure strategies and solutions.
  • Evaluate and analyze business requirements, translating them into scalable and efficient infrastructure designs.
  • Develop infrastructure architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and technical documentation.
  • Oversee the implementation and integration of infrastructure components, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and security standards.
  • Assess and recommend infrastructure technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance operational efficiency, performance, and reliability.
  • Conduct periodic assessments and audits of existing infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement, and executing appropriate remediation plans.
  • Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and incidents, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Establish and maintain a strong partnership with Corporate Real Estate teams to align infrastructure architecture strategies with facility planning and management.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating them into the infrastructure architecture strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Infrastructure IT or a related field.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) as an Infrastructure Architect in the finance sector, focusing on designing and implementing infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong understanding of finance industry regulations, compliance standards, and security frameworks.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure, automation tools, operating systems, networking protocols, and IT operations.
  • Proficient in infrastructure architecture frameworks and design principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and Corporate Real Estate teams.
  • Industry certifications are highly desirable.

Location: New York/New Jersey

The expected base salary ranges from $105k-$180k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
