Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse RN to join our Hematology/Oncology team at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up.

This full-time position offers a rewarding career opportunity for a compassionate and patient-focused nurse with excellent administration skills. You will be responsible for administering chemotherapy/Biotherapy, performing patient assessments, providing symptom management and patient and family education.

Responsibilities
  • Practice safe administration of infusions, injections, and transfusions.
  • Administer chemotherapy/Biotherapy, perform patient assessments, provides symptom management and patient and family education.
  • Scheduling patients for treatments and triaging of patient phone calls.
  • Manage a caseload of patients receiving a variety of infusion therapies on an outpatient basis.
  • Collaboration with referring physician offices to coordinate one time or ongoing therapies.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduates preferred.
  • Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.
  • Certification: BLS required. ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy card strongly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position working 40 hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with no weekends.
