Job Summary

At Trinity Health, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our Medical Oncology team. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with cancer who are admitted to the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

Continuous Assessment: Monitor patients' conditions, administer orders and medications, and document progress throughout their stay.

Medication Administration: Provide cancer-related medications, ensuring proper dosing, monitoring, and documentation.

Patient Education: Educate patients and families about their conditions and self-care.

Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and healthcare provider staff for close monitoring of patients' conditions.

Requirements

Education: Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is required. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.

Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in an Acute InPatient setting.

BLS or CPR Certification: Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.

What We Offer

Full-Time: 36 hours per week, Night Shift.

Rotating weekends and holidays are required for all shifts.
