Position Overview

Since its inception in 1997, Center for Discovery, the division of DBH focused on eating disorders, has successfully guided numerous patients towards fulfilling and enriched lives through evidence-based and inclusive treatment methodologies.

Job Responsibilities

  • This role operates on a PRN (as needed) basis.
  • All duties will be conducted on-site.

We are looking to integrate an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) into our eating disorder program team on a part-time basis. The position involves collaboration with other healthcare providers on-site.


Key Duties Include:

  • Performing comprehensive physical assessments, documenting medical histories, and diagnosing both acute and chronic conditions.
  • Creating and executing personalized treatment strategies, which encompass prescribing medications and ordering necessary diagnostic evaluations.
  • Building rapport with patients and relevant members of their support systems to facilitate understanding and acceptance of treatment recommendations through a collaborative decision-making approach.
  • Prescribing and implementing treatments aligned with diagnoses and established standards, including medication prescriptions within the ARNP's scope of practice.
  • Accurately completing medical records in a timely manner, typically on the same day services are rendered, but no later than 48 hours post-visit.
  • Billing for services in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Coordinating with other medical professionals regarding coverage for vacations and medication refills as required.
Additional Information

  • This is a PRN position.
  • Compensation is contingent upon geographic location, educational background, and experience.
  • Hourly pay ranges from $70.00 to $80.00.
  • Expected work hours are between 5 to 10 hours weekly.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid Nurse Practitioner qualification with experience in adolescent care.
  • Graduation from an accredited medical institution and current licensure in the state of practice is required.
  • Eligibility for membership in the local chapter of the State Medical Society is necessary.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
