The Adjunct Paralegal position at InsideHigherEd is a part-time opportunity for a qualified professional to teach and develop curriculum in the field of law studies. The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in legal studies, law, or a related area, and a minimum of one year of professional experience. A JD or attorney background is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and develop curriculum in law studies, ensuring students meet learning objectives and outcomes.
- Create an effective learning environment through varied instructional methods.
- Collaborate with program and discipline faculty to assess learning outcomes and revise curriculum.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current in discipline and instructional methods.
- Contribute to department and college meetings, committees, and projects.
- Support the college's goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in legal studies, law, or a related area.
- Minimum one year of professional experience.
- JD or attorney background preferred.
- Strong communication and teaching skills.
- Post-secondary teaching experience and industry-related software knowledge.
Clearances:
Current criminal record and child abuse clearances are required for employment at the College.
