Overview:
The Site Operations Supervisor is essential in managing daily activities at the construction site while formulating short-term project timelines. This role involves leading the workforce in various construction operations, ensuring that the output meets the quality expectations of the stakeholders. The supervisor is also tasked with upholding safety regulations and acting as the primary liaison with the engineer or on-site inspector.
Nature of Work:
Focusing on Water, Sewer, Drainage, Earthmoving, Curbing, Sidewalk Installation, Grading, and other Site Development tasks.
Reporting Structure:
Reports directly to the Project Manager and Superintendent.
Main Duties:
- Oversee construction teams, materials, machinery, and subcontractors to enhance job site productivity.
- Implement quality assurance and safety protocols throughout all construction processes.
- Carry out project layout and accurately set grades and elevations.
- Prepare time-sheets and daily logs, including production metrics.
- Thoroughly interpret and comprehend project drawings and specifications.
- Effectively manage client interactions on-site.
- Assist in transitioning between project phases and completing close-out activities.
- Identify additional work needs and communicate them to the project manager.
- Ensure prompt collection and submission of delivery documentation.
- Conduct daily briefings with the crew to synchronize on tasks.
- Work closely with the project manager on scheduling, resource management, and any changes in project scope.
- Operate with precision and accuracy, making decisions based on measurable criteria.
- Exhibit leadership qualities to inspire and guide team members.
- Physically capable of lifting items up to 100 pounds and skilled in manual tasks.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in the specified field.
- Possess a valid OSHA 10 Certification.
- Familiarity with Mass DOT standards is crucial.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
- Hold a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
