EHS Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join our team at KIK Consumer Products, Inc. in Ludlow, Massachusetts. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental sustainability of our operations.

• Develop and implement effective EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
• Collaborate with site leadership to ensure proper EHS protocols and procedures are in place and consistently followed.
• Manage and maintain EHS management information systems and documentation.
• Lead and execute EHS initiatives, including policies, procedures, programs, and agency regulations and compliance systems.
• Identify and analyze organizational risks and develop programs to mitigate these risks and achieve desired results.
• Develop and execute tactical and strategic plans to improve EHS performance.
• Manage the EHS Management System, including Leadership, Planning, Support, Operation, Performance Evaluation, and Improvement.
• Lead the site emergency response team and EHS committee.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, science, safety, industrial hygiene, or similar discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of environmental, health and safety compliance experience in any manufacturing environment.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of federal, state/provincial and local EHS regulations.
• Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications a plus (CSP, CIH, CHMM, PE).
• Ability to act as a positive EHS role model, influencing and motivating others.
• Self-motivated with a strong results orientation based on solid analytical thinking and judgment.
