Job Summary

The Licensed Practicing Nurse provides recovery-focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the physician. Provides safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establishes and maintains a therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • Provides nursing care and assists in the welcoming, admission, and discharge process.
  • Collects data relevant to client's care; Develops and implements nursing care plans.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of crisis management and intervention.
  • Transcribes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Administers medication management policies and procedures.
  • Notifies the prescriber and nursing supervisor of any changes in behavior or condition.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program and current LPN licensure in state of operation.
  • Current CPR/BLS certificate.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid registration/background check clearance with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
  • One year of experience in related field.
  • Understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment, and knowledge of psychotropic medication.
  • Valid Driver's License.
