Position Summary

As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you will take charge of reserve assessments, balance sheet management, and corporate reconciliations. Your role will also involve enhancing processes, ensuring adherence to regulations, and expertly managing month-end closing activities. Your proficiency in IFRS and US GAAP will make you a vital contributor to cross-departmental collaboration and strategic planning. Additionally, preferred skills such as familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform and experience in large organizations will open up extensive opportunities for your professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and implement enhancements to existing processes.
  • Conduct analysis on specific balance sheet reserve accounts.
  • Oversee the Corporate balance sheet by coordinating reconciliation reviews and holding regular meetings with various accounting teams.
  • Establish and uphold policies to guarantee compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure a successful month-end closing process.
  • Manage monthly accounting close activities, including the preparation of journal entries.
  • Ensure timely, clear, and accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with annual audits by providing necessary reports and schedules.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports as requested by management.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA or CPA Candidate.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in accounting or finance (public accounting and/or industry).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and process automation.
  • Familiarity with SAP and Hyperion/Essbase.
  • 2+ years of experience in Public Accounting.
  • Master's degree in Accounting.
  • Experience with SOX compliance testing and internal controls.
  • Experience in a large organization (preferably with over $3 billion in sales).
