Substation Structural Engineer

Paxon Energy & Infrastructure Services LLC is seeking a skilled Substation Structural Engineer to join our team. As a Substation Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and optimization of substation structures.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Substation Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and analyzing substation structures, including foundations, steel supports, and equipment platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the safety, stability, and reliability of proposed and installed electrical substation infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform structural analysis, calculations, and simulations to ensure the integrity and stability of substation structures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient and reliable substation designs.
- Ensure that all designs and analysis meet relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations related to structural engineering in substations.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design specifications, and drawings for substation structures.
- Identify opportunities for innovation in substation design, construction methods, and materials to enhance project efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with a focus on structural engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on high-voltage substations.
- Proven experience in the design and analysis of substation structures, including foundations, steel supports, and equipment platforms.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards, including IEEE, IEC, ASCE, and ACI.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification in structural engineering is preferred.
