Substation Structural Engineer

Paxon Energy & Infrastructure Inc. is seeking a skilled Substation Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and optimization of substation structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural analysis, calculations, and simulations to ensure the integrity and stability of substation structures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient and reliable substation designs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and standards, including IEEE, IEC, ASCE, and ACI.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design specifications, and drawings for substation structures.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in substation design, construction methods, and materials to enhance project efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with a focus on structural engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on high-voltage substations.
  • Proven experience in the design and analysis of substation structures, including foundations, steel supports, and equipment platforms.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards.
