Fourth Floor, a renowned fashion industry player, is seeking a Materials Coordinator to join their team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Raw Materials team in the organization and archival of the general Raw Material Library.
  • Leverage PLM systems for effective tracking of materials.
  • Manage the check-in process for new material headers, skins, and prototype materials arriving at the office.
  • Assist in the creation of a seasonal archive for all materials utilized in SMS and bulk stages.
  • Maintain the archival library for raw materials from previous seasons, including the arrangement of mill and tannery color cards, lab dips, and trial strike-offs for all leather and fabric.
  • Oversee the organization of the trim and soft trim library, aiding in the development of the trim archive.
  • Organize supplier color cards and maintain color material masters.
  • Provide support for the setup and preparation of seasonal milestone meetings and material discussions.
  • General assistance for the team, including package check-ins, dispatches, and tracking.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in Raw Materials is preferred, or a background in Product Development with a keen interest in raw materials.
  • BS/BA/BFA degree is required.
  • Strong collaborative, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-channel environment.
